Low back pain refers to pain that you feel in your lower back. You may also have back stiffness, decreased movement of the lower back, and difficulty standing straight.
Common causes include improper lifting, poor posture, lack of regular exercise, a fracture, a ruptured disc or arthritis, long sitting hours.
Some of the key tips to keep in mind for back pain:
- Proper diet: Ensure if you are taking Proper diet including sufficient amount of Calcium, Phosphorus, Vitamin D & other nutritional requirements. Sometimes we eat food stuff without knowing their nutritional facts. In back pain ensure to take the right stuff . Heavy, fried & spicy meals should be avoided. Have good food stuff which ensures good bone health.
- Stretching: Back stretching is a must in relieving the pain. Do some good stretches daily .
- If your work demands more sitting ensure to stand up & walk few steps every 45 minutes.
- An alternate hot & cold water immersion also provide relief in back pain or either icing or heat pad depending on response of your body towards the therapy.
- Every health issue relates to our lifestyle. So bringing changes in our lifestyle, diet always bring fruitful results.
- Postures: Always be careful for your every posture. Poor postures always lead to back pain.
- Exercises: Ensure your postures should be proper and right while doing any yoga pose ,stretch or exercise as wrong posture harms more than being beneficial.
- In severe pain consult your physician .
