DIET CHART FOR SUMMERS

Health is a precarious issue in summers. The enervating climate, the heat and the season takes a toll on our health. An ideal diet and a perfect exercise regimen can however rescue us from the troubles we may face during the season. Summer foods should be essentially light to digest as our body produces enough heat during summers to digest the food.  

DIET CHART FOR SUMMERS

7:00 A.M. – Exercise for 30  minutes.

7:00 A.M. – Lemon (1/2) +Water (1 glass) + Honey (1 tea spoon) or  Coconut Water (low  B.P . Patients avoid coconut water) or Bel Fruit Juice or Diabetic Person : Lemon (1/2) + water (1 glass) or Methi water (1 cup)

Breakfast – Mango shake / Banana shake / Fruit chat /Grapes / Melon / Watermelon or sprouts

For Diabetic Person – Papaya with lemon juice sprinkled , Guava or fruit chat + toned milk or sprouts or chapati stuffed with raw papaya /soaked methi dana + curd.

Note: Before an hour of lunch  – Salad of cucumber +tomato + onion + lotus stem (kakadi).

Lunch – Simple chapati + curd + seasonal vegetable + Chutney of  (tomato + onion + coriander leaves (dhaniya) + Pudina (mint) + green chilly)

Evening – Fruit juice / Thandai /(buttermilk -diabetic patients)

Dinner –  Simple chapati  + seasonal vegetable + Chutney of  (tomato + onion + coriander leaves (dhaniya) + Pudina (mint) + green chilly)

After dinner : Walk for 30 mins.

(Green bottle water charged in sun rays for six hours (one glass before lunch/dinner )cures maximum summer diseases)

(Brown Bottle water for diabetic patients – 1 cup – 15 mins. after lunch and dinner)

 

USEFUL TIPS

  1. Intake of natural mineral water : watermelon , muskmelon.
  2. Ice is used in large quantity during summer. While giving a temporary cooling to body, it weakens the teeth at their roots, at the same time; disturbing digestion , disturbing natural body temperature. Also causing morning sickness, fatigue in body.
    Ice water should be replaced with comparatively cold water of pitcher. 
  3. Intake of 1 tsp. of coriander powder (dhaniya powder) with water in case of stomach upset ,stomach infection ,loose motion in Summers.
  4. Intake of soaked 20 pieces of Raisins (kishmish) in case of Low B.P.
  5. Maximum intake of nature liquids: Fruit juices , shakes , lime water

 

RESTRICT

  1. Junk and heavy fried food
  2. Unseasonal Vegetables : Peas , cauliflower , spinach  etc.
  3. Instead of refrigerated water take pitcher water.
  4. Exposure to harsh direct sunlight. If can’t avoid keep sweet and salted lime water with you and intake it at short intervals.
  5. Avoid meat, poultry, nuts & seeds. Also avoid foods like garlic, clove, mustard & coffee.
  6. The sugary & caffeinated drinks are harmful during summers as they worsen the effects of dehydration. So it is advisable to stay away from them.
  7. In summer, Ice creams and cold drinks should be consumed minimum as they result in throat problems that could make the body vulnerable to some other diseases.Every season has its own charms ..Enjoy summers too with joy..
