Now a days due to lockdown Children have no option left except studying online . Much of their time got spent on screen. Too much Screen Time not only put strain on their eyes but also their physical and mental well being. In order to keep children fit and healthy in these tough days here are some useful tips :
1.) After their online screen school hours ask Child to take a 40 min. -1 hour small nap after having their meal . Its essential to give rest to both his/her mind and eyes .
2. ) Home assignment time : After Nap & having some light healthy snacks child should start his Home assignment if any . Ensure it should not be more than hour if on screen . At maximum it should be one and half hour if offline and online mix.
3.) Break : Ask child to take break . Child should involve herself or himself in any physical activities like Walking , Skipping , Exercise , yoga for minimum 40 minutes . All these activities keep him away from screen and also maintain his/her physical well being.
4.) A light snack intake and again 40 mins. assignment time if any.
5. ) Break : In this break child should engage himself or herself in art and craft , activity he or she love to do (offscreen ), playing chess , any other mindful offscreen game for 1 hour. This is essential for child mental well being . No screen should be involved in these activities. It will grow their mind and enhance their creative skills.
Only By adding this 1 Hour 40 minutes to your child schedule will bring a huge of difference . List can be endless but always go for practical quality list points. Make a log for child to fill daily if he/she has done the activities or not. All this will only benefit our child .
